School uniforms in UK

Today, I'll speak about the school uniforms in UK.

1)The English school uniform in general

The school uniform is very common in the United Kingdom. Virtually all public and private institutions have their uniform, or at least a strict dress code. The uniform is worn from 4 to 16 years in most schools, students 16 to 18 years old must also wear uniform or adhere to a dress code, but the rules are sometimes relaxed. It is more the case when the school is attached to a school when it is independent. Universities generally do not have a uniform. 98% of public high schools require uniforms, and 79% of primary schools.

In addition, public and private schools have more or less strict regulations on wearing jewelry or makeup, and fashion accessories. Most schools do not seem to suffer British "war of brands" by wearing the uniform, but students wearing uniforms cheap or damaged are often excluded by their peers.
During the 1990s, the trend has gone to wearing hoodies and polo shirts with the school crest, particularly in primary schools and increasingly in secondary schools. They were seen as a way to modernize the uniform and make it more affordable for low-income families who did not necessarily have the means to buy blazers. In addition, the global warming and the introduction of central heating in schools, the temperature in classrooms has increased over the last 50 years, it makes thick sweaters and jackets less convenient, especially with the approach summer, prompting some schools to adopt uniforms more suitable temperature. In some instances, however, reintroduced the school blazer and tie to make their students more elegant and prevent violence.

2)Fashion high socks

High socks are often found in English uniforms. They come from Japan and they are very wearing by the english schoolgirls who making it a fashion accessory even outside the college.
